When NBC News went on the air Thursday to report on President Trump's shameful conviction by a New York kangaroo court for false crimes, they attempted a subtle attack on Trump supporters, but in the end an adverse effect on them.
Such as the Media Research Center (MRC) reported On Friday, NBC reporter Laura Jarrett was on air breaking down her “analysis” of the disgusting verdict when, in the middle of her report, the network's cameras spotted a hysterical “Trump fan” screaming like a deranged lunatic as she “Free Father” held. Teresa” sign.
However, there was only one problem with the network. The man in the video, that MRC identified as Tony Barbieri, is an actor who occasionally appears for far-left ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel on his show Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Barbieri calls himself “Jake Byrd” and travels across America acting like a crazy right winger for Kimmel's fans.
The MRC-curated video clip begins with Jarrett speaking for a minute before Barberi comes on screen as she continues her report. The video is then cut to a Jimmy Kimmel Live episode in which the actor pretends to be Jake Byrd and claims that Trump supporters don't think the 45th president is innocent; they don't care.
He then gives a 'reporter' a high five. After a segment from CBS reporter Robert Costa, Barberi is shown “admitting” that he doesn't know what fraud means, but saying that even if Trump committed election fraud, he is still not guilty.
WATCH:
LAURA JARRETT: Savannah, it's a resounding victory for the prosecution in a case that they've framed as something much bigger than just about hush money. The way they tried to handle this case was about undermining democracy. And today the jury agreed with them, Savannah. The former president has tried to portray this as a political persecution. A political blow from a prosecutor elected by the Democrats, from a judge who was biased against him. But these twelve jurors, these twelve New Yorkers, have come to a different conclusion, an independent conclusion that the former president of the United States is guilty of 34 crimes.
You can hear the crowd here.(Barbieri is seen in the video screaming like a maniac while holding a “Free Father Teresa” sign)
There are a lot of Trump supporters here that you can hear, who were very excited when I was reading the verdict, I could hear the crowd. Emotion grows behind me. I'm just a few feet away from the area that you can see there on your screen, sort of like First Amendment territory, if you will. A stone's throw from the press area. It grew as the day went on.
It grows after they heard this verdict came in. Many emotions are currently running very high in the city. Again, this is the presumptive GOP nominee in the middle of an election year for things he did that prosecutors say he did to try to corrupt the last election. A remarkable scene that takes place here in Lower Manhattan.

FOREIGN REPORTER: Why are you here today?
TONY BARBIERI [portraying JAKE BYRD]: We are here to support the real president, Donald Trump.
[ON TV3CAT]: It's not that we think Trump is innocent. It's that we don't care.
LIDIA HEREDIA SOLER: [Speaking Foreign Language]
BARBIERI: At the top. Thank you.
SOLER: Thank you.
(Video then cuts to CBS News)
ROBERT COSTA [CBS]: Trump supporters across the country, there is anger and frustration right now. And Trump campaign officials claim this will make Trump stronger within the party.
(Back to Jimmy Kimmel Live)
BARBIERI: They say he's guilty of fraud. What does fraud actually mean? What does it mean? I don't know, do you know?
BRITISH REPORTER: Election fraud is what they found him guilty of. By hiding information that voters may have used to vote differently. That's essentially what they found him guilty of.
BARBIERI: Okay, maybe he did that, but he's not guilty.
MRC notes that NBC isn't the first media outlet to consider Barberi a true conservative. CNN for example interviewed he posed as a supporter of Herschel Walker in 2022.
