Aberdeen's MRS Training & Rescue is increasing its commitment to worker safety by significantly expanding its training resources at the Bridge of Don facility.
With over 120 years of experience in health and safety training, MRS Training & Rescue has increased staffing levels at its state-of-the-art center in Aberdeen by 30%.
Andy Watson, Operations Manager at MRS Aberdeen, highlighted the impressive 49% growth the company has experienced over the past year, indicating that local employers are prioritizing safety training for their employees. “Many employers recognize the potential dangers of working in confined spaces and are taking steps to reduce the risk. However, statistics show that in Britain around 15 people die every year while working in confined spaces. We are increasing our resources so that local employers have the tools they need to get that number down to zero,” said Watson.
MRS Training & Rescue works closely with employers to identify workplace hazards, assess risks, implement control measures and ensure the safety of their workforce. The organization proudly serves leading employers in Aberdeen such as Scottish Water, Morrison Construction, Shell, SSE, TAQA, Ineos FPS and the Scottish Ambulance Service. In addition, MRS supports local non-profit organizations by offering free first aid training.
“We are proud to be part of the community, serving employers in Aberdeen and ensuring everyone in this community comes home safely from work every day,” Watson added.
The Bridge of Don Training Center, which opened in 2022, offers comprehensive training programs for various sectors. The facilities are specially designed for training at heights and confined spaces, as well as first aid courses, and include several dedicated classrooms for theoretical education.
By expanding its resources and capabilities, MRS Training & Rescue is strengthening its mission to improve workplace safety and support the well-being of local workers in Aberdeen and beyond.
