Macron's 'empire' has fallen: he tries to contain chaos in France's post-colonial areas and travels to mend fences with Germany on the eve of the EU elections | The Gateway expert

French President Emmanuel Macron, a globalist poster boy and former Rothschild banker, likes to play emperor “but his empire appears to be falling apart,” according to a British magazine.

Before taking part in the state visit to Germany – the first by a French president since the year 2000, Macron visited some of his troubled areas in the Indian Ocean and the South Pacific.

We want to call them colonies, but France calls them 'departments', parts of a republic that is 'indivisible'. Yes correct.

macron fail

It probably takes another postcolonial country like Britain to understand how 'Macron cherishes the fantasy that his remote colonies are actually just part of France itself'.

Macron's first visit was to riot-ravaged Mayotte, now overrun by African refugees hated by locals.

The spectator reported:

“Few French people could find Mayotte on a map and the economic contribution to the country is negative. Conceit aside, it is incomprehensible why France insists on flying its tricolor here. Like much of la France d'outre mer, it is a bottomless pit into which the French pour subsidies for benefits that seem minimal.”

After the usual colonial promises, Macron took the presidential plane to New Caledonia, where eight people were seated, including two gendarmeshave been killed in ethnic riots this month – and there is a growing independence movement.

“Now that the area is, according to some, on the brink of civil war, the French are forced to deploy soldiers to defend the port, airport and government buildings. Businesses have been destroyed by arson. Macron arrived on Thursday morning and stated that he was there to open a dialogue.”

Macron condemned the “absolutely unprecedented uprising movement” and said authorities must “persevere.” There is no reconciliation as long as there is violence.'

Australia and New Zealand evacuate their nationals.

“A tour of France's global colonies (although we should not call them that) shows that the indivisible republic is melting away around the world. French Polynesia, another French Pacific territory within the republic, is in constant political turmoil with demands for independence. In the Caribbean, Guadaloupe and Martinique are regularly plagued by riots.”

In South America, French Guiana is a center for drug trafficking and environmental disasters due to illegal mining.

“Macron and his predecessors have presided over not only the troubled French de jure empire, but also the collapse of the de facto empire in Africa, where France's failed military intervention has led former French colonies to turn their backs on the mother country . La Franceafrique has become a melting pot for militant Islamism, from Mali to Niger and Ivory Coast.

[…] Haiti, now under the control of gangsters, is yet another failed former French colony, with a legacy of brutal slavery, re-imposed by Napoleon III after Toussaint Louverture's failed revolution.

macron fail headlines
Slowing economy, mass migration, end of the 'welfare state' – and the right wing is poised to make big gains in the EU elections in June.

The end of what's left of the French empire is happening before our eyes, so the Republic must redefine itself as a European nation.

And that requires restoring ties with its former enemy and now rival ally Germany.

Macron's three-day trip was intended to highlight (and try to restore) the strong ties between the European Union's traditional superpowers.

This is particularly urgent as we are just days away from the all-important European Parliament elections – one in which right-wing parties in both countries will make big gains.

Associated press reported:

“Although Macron is a frequent visitor to Germany as Paris and Berlin try to coordinate their positions on the EU and foreign policy, this is the first state visit with full pomp since Jacques Chirac arrived in 2000. Macron and his wife Brigitte will be received here by Germany's largely ceremonial president, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

It is “a testament to the depth of the friendship between France and Germany” that Macron is visiting as Germany celebrates the 75th anniversary of its post-World War II constitution and before celebrating the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall in November. said Steinmeier.”

Germans held a state banquet for Macron at Bellevue Palace in Berlin on Sunday evening, before the two presidents traveled to the eastern city of Dresden today.

There will be a meeting on Tuesday between Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and ministers from both countries at a government guesthouse outside Berlin.

Germany and France, the engines of European integration, are plagued by differences in policies and emphasis between the two neighbors on multiple issues.

“This was evident earlier this year from differing positions on the question of whether Western countries should rule out sending ground troops to Ukraine. Both countries are strong supporters of Kiev.

Macron said on Sunday that there have often been problems in French-German relations in recent decades, but that “France and Germany have achieved extraordinary things together – they have been the core of this Europe.” He contrasted this with the war history of the countries against each other until 1945.

He reiterated the warning that Europe could “die” if it fails to build its own robust defenses as Russia's war in Ukraine continues, or if it fails to implement major trade and economic reforms to can compete with China and the US.”

After all the fear-mongering and warmongering, it is very ironic that, after saying that the “fear of a changing world” is fueling the rise of the far right in Europe, Macron will receive the “Westphalia Prize”, a private sector award 'recognizes individuals or institutions for their efforts towards sustainable peace'.
