Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton joined Steve Bannon The War Room to discuss the results of the Texas primaries on Tuesday.
Paxton celebrated the victory of 24 or 25 pro-MAGA candidates in the Texas GOP primaries last night. Paxton also called for an end to open primaries in Texas after Democrats were able to win seats for RINO candidates like controversial Texas Chairman Dade Phelan.
Ken Paxton then went on to describe the depths of corruption at the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI.
AG Ken Paxton: This is what happened to me three and a half years ago. Actually, I received a referral from the Travis County District Attorney to investigate the FBI and Department of Justice for corruption for violating state and federal laws. I started that process only to discover that the FBI knew about it before I did. They knew about the referral before I did, and they were already in my office threatening people and scaring them all. And so the whole coup happened in my office. This matter was resolved because I told my staff that we are investigating them. I don't care what they do to us. If we can't stand up to the FBI and the Department of Justice when they commit crimes, and they commit crimes, if I could have finished this investigation, we would have found it and at least exposed it, even then we should have been given the authority to prosecute it.
I assure you, they no longer follow rules. They don't follow the constitution. It's really hard to hold them accountable when they could open an investigation against me. My investigation turned to them and it led to an investigation against me, and that is exactly what happened to me.
Steve Bannon: Wait a second. I want to go back and hit rewind. We're sitting here on the day after this historic run-off that came out of a historic primary, that came out of a historic impeachment that was actually brought to the people's attention. How the Bush establishment still runs Texas, even though it is a mega-state. You say this all started years ago, when you got information that you needed to start an investigation into the FBI or you needed to start an investigation into the FBI, and then they came immediately. They knew it in advance.
Ken Paxton: …So I track it down, and my head of law enforcement tells me, my top brass says we're not investigating them. And I said: why? And they said, because law enforcement officers can't commit a crime. And I said, what do you mean? We do not investigate law enforcement officers because it is not possible for them to commit a crime. I was told this by David Maxwell, head of my law enforcement agency. Then I went to my first assistant and said, we have to fire that guy. And he says: I can't do it. I said why? He said because he threatened me. And he said, if I did what you want me to do, if I investigate them, they'll come after me. Like the FBI and the Department of Justice are coming after you…
…Then the guys in my office filed a complaint against me, saying I had committed a federal crime, but they never said what it was. And then, supposedly because of that complaint, they could do whatever they wanted in my office, and I couldn't get rid of them. And that led to the FBI investigating me and saying that I have no right to fire these people. That's a federal crime, and now I've committed a crime. And that's what I've been dealing with for the past four years, these people harassing me…
…And the downside to all this is that the truth never came to light. We were never able to complete the investigation. And I guarantee you that if we had been able to complete that investigation, we would have discovered that the FBI is not following this Constitution. They don't serve search warrants like they should. They go in and do their investigation, and later they serve search warrants. They violated the Constitution, and then they changed government status, which is a violation of state law. But I never got around to it because when this all blew up, the Travis County district attorney messed things up. And those guys in my office turned me in, so I suddenly became the subject of an investigation. And that's what happens when you go after a Russian at the FBI and the Department of Justice.
Steve Bannon: So what needs to be done?… What needs to be done by citizens who buy laws? Why don't more AGs undertake this? They have turned into a Gestapo, an American Gestapo. The DOJ is as corrupt as Lisa Monaco, Matthew Colangelo, Mary Garland, all of them. What should the average citizen do?
AG Ken Paxton: Steve, I'm telling you: they are the Gestapo. We are in Venezuela. We might as well have been in China. We might as well have been in Germany in the 1930s and 1940s. It's corrupt. It's the Gestapo. They no longer follow any law, and no one can stop them. And because of what happened to me, these other AGs are still afraid to do anything. So there is a lot of fear, because what can you do? How do you stop them?
And I think the revelation of this case where this judge doesn't redact all these things. We need to get more exposure. And secondly, we have to have a president who comes in, bring in an attorney general who will take these guys down and ensure that corruption is eliminated and that we start anew.
You're right. When I heard you say: We must begin again, for at this moment they have been formed. The FBI was created to track organized crime. The problem with that now is that it is organized crime. They are paid with tax money. It has become organized crime…
…It would be better to have nothing now. Everyone says, what about the crime? They are no longer there to stop crime. They are a political organization designed to persecute people like you and me. And so it would be better to have nothing than to have that. So yes, you have to put it down and start over. I don't know any different because there is so much corruption and it has been built up by so many other people for so long. I don't know how you can find out who's doing all those bad things unless you… Because you don't have much time. You have to do it quickly and you just have to start over with something else.
