Trump's hope
During the eleventh day of the criminal trial in the NY v. Trump case, Trump's former campaign director and White House communications director testified that Michael Cohen, Trump's ex-lawyer, often frustrated campaign staff and did things that were not helpful.
On the witness stand, Hicks testified that Cohen “liked to call himself Mr. Fix Itbut that was only because he broke it first.”
Hicks testified under subpoena for the prosecution. She sometimes praised the former president and became choked up when Trump's lawyer asked her about her time at the Trump Organization.
Cohen is a central player and could be the key witness in Manhattan District Attorney Bragg's case against the former president, in which he falsified company records related to a payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels to substantiate her claims of an illicit affair with Trump. early years to suppress. 2000s.
Trump paid a $9,000 fine on Friday for violating the judge's oath of silence, but there are still four alleged violations on which Judge Juan Merchan has not yet ruled. The trial will resume at 9:30 a.m. on Monday
