A US soldier was seriously injured and two other US troops were injured at the floating Gaza pier on Thursday.
According to the deputy commander of U.S. Central Command, the three soldiers suffered injuries that were not caused during the battle.
Two of the American troops suffered sprained ankles and a minor back injury. The third soldier was seriously injured and taken to a hospital. Details of the third soldier's injuries have not been publicly released.

Three US troops suffered non-combat injuries during the operation to establish and operate a pier off the coast of Gaza to provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinians, said US Rear Adm. Brad Cooper, deputy commander of the US Central Command. Commando Thursday.
Cooper told reporters that two of the injuries included a sprained ankle and a minor back injury. Cooper declined to provide details about the third injury.
The US military recently completed construction of a floating pier.
The floating pier will be used to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
