Zendaya talks about whether she wants to return to music

Zendaya isn't ready to leave her music career behind.

The 'Challengers' star spoke about her love for music in a recent interview on 'The Jennifer Hudson Show', stating that it was 'something special' for her.

She released her self-titled debut album – her first and only solo project – in 2013 and has collaborated with Chris Brown, Zac Efron (on the soundtrack to “The Greatest Showman”), Bobby Brackins, Labrinth and Dominic Fike (on “The Greatest Showman”), among others. Showman”). Euphoria”) in the years that followed.

“I think being in the music industry may not spoil the joy of music, but it does when you bring music and business together. Sometimes it can't feel so good,” she explained.

Zendaya once teased an upcoming second album which MTV News described as “clearly an R&B record” allegedly involving Diane Warren and Babyface in 2016.

But news of such a project has faded considerably since she took on major roles in films like the 'Spider-Man' films, 'Dune' and 'Dune: Part Two.

“You know, I think if the timing was right and it came because I like creating it for myself, but if there was a moment, maybe I would release something,” Zendaya said as the crowd erupted. applause.

“Don't be silly! We'll see, but maybe someday.”

Zendaya, following the release of her 2022 collaboration 'I'm Tired' with Labrinth, took to social media to reflect on her absence from music while thanking fans for their support.

“I quit music a while ago, for a number of reasons, but I still love it very much, so the kindness and support I've received over the last few days, just for a little toe, back into some music diving, it means the absolute world to me..thanks for writing.

Zendaya then spoke with Hudson about performing the song, as well as her 2019 song “All For Us” with Labrinth during his set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival last year.

“He asked me if I wanted to come and perform and I immediately thought, 'Oh, absolutely not.' That's not me, for example. I thought, 'I can't do that, I can't do that,'” said Zendaya, who described having “bad memories” of when she had stage fright as a child.

She continued, “And then I kind of turned to myself and said, 'Dude, you can't hide from this, run from this forever.' Like you want to stand on a stage and perform live at least once in your life.'”
