Soros heir urges Democrats to label Trump 'convicted criminal' at every opportunity

The son of progressive megadonor George Soros and heir to his business advised Democrats on Friday to emphasize former President Trump's status as a “convicted felon” after he was found guilty by a New York jury on charges brought by an officer of justice that had helped elect the powerful Soros family.

“Democrats must view Trump as a convicted criminal at every opportunity,” Alexander Soros wrote on X.

“Repetition is the key to a successful message and we want people to grapple with the idea of hiring a convicted felon for the most important job in the country!” Soros said.

The Soros family has funded campaigns by prosecutors across the country accused of being lax on crime.

Fox News previously reported that George Soros gave Color of Change PAC $1 million in 2021, spending a significant amount of money to support the candidacy of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Fox News Digital reviewed campaign finance records showing that his son and daughter-in-law Jonathan and Jennifer Allan Soros donated directly to the then-candidate's campaign.

Trump was found guilty of 34 charges of falsifying company records to cover up payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels, with whom the former president allegedly had an affair.

“I did my job. Our job is to follow the facts and the law without fear or favor. And that's exactly what we did here,” Bragg told reporters after the guilty verdict was reached Thursday.

“What I feel is gratitude to work with phenomenal public servants who do that every day on issues that you all write about.… I did my job. We have done our job. There are many voices. The only vote that matters is the jury's vote. And the jury has spoken,” he added.

Republicans overwhelmingly disagreed with the verdict and labeled the trial as politicized. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio demanded Friday that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Prosecutor Matthew Colangelo testify next month at a hearing on “President Trump's unprecedented political persecution.”
